COACH BIO
Siobhan Higgins
MS
I am a mental performance coach, head soccer coach, professional soccer player, and yoga instructor. Growing up in Houston, Texas my passion for sports came naturally. Through my experiences grinding my way to the top level of soccer in a few European countries, facing season-ending injuries, and just overcoming adversity along the way, I found my passion for the mental side of sport. I played 4 years of NAIA soccer at the University of St. Thomas (UST) in Houston, Texas, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I always knew I wanted to gain a better understanding of human development so I could enhance the lives of others. While pursuing my passion of playing soccer professionally abroad for four years, I then earned my Masters of Applied Sport and Performance Psychology from UST. I understand that like sports, life throws you curve balls and we need to be equipped to learn how to cope with them in order to keep moving forward and building a resilient mindset. Additionally, I became a yoga instructor because the mind-body connection is so important, and now I teach yoga for athletes of all ages and levels. In efforts to improve the mindsets of others and provide invaluable advice, I also host a podcast called Mind-Goals where I interview athletes, athletic personnel and talk about my journey as a professional athlete. Overall, I have dedicated my career to using my unique experiences by helping others overcome adversity, enhance their mental tool-kit, and build a resilient mindset.
